Sections Section 1: Intro [intro1] Section 2: Fish Info [fi2] Section 3: Guide [guide3] Section 4: Tips [tips4] Section 5: Fish Passwords [pw5] Section 6: Outro [outro6] Section 1: Intro [intro1] Introduction: Fishing Resort is a free roam fishing game that plays alot like an RPG on the Wii console that was developed by Prope and published by XSEED in North America on November 21st 2011! This game boasts over 200 species of fish and has over a dozen expansive areas to explore! So what're we waiting for? Let's go fishing! Section 2: Fish Info [fi2] In this section I'll post where these fish typically can be caught and any unusual areas they have been caught in along with lure data and size data I've compiled on my new Fishing Resort profile! -Teman Paradise Beach fish species- Blotchy Sillago: FP 115- S Rank 1.08 ft- Can be caught at Big Catch Rock, Golden Cliff, and Villa Mirador. The Blotchy Sillago is a small silver fish with a long body, small mouth, and tiny eyes, it is extremely easy to catch even with the 1 star small rod that you obtain upon arrival of Teman Paradise Beach! Royal Angelfish: FP 130- S Rank 1.07 ft- Can be caught at Teman Paradise Beach (West) and Pacar Beach (West). The Royal Angelfish is a broad fish with a very thin body and is easily identified by its signature yellow and blue striped color pattern! The Royal Angelfish is fairly common and is the only fish at Teman Paradise Beach (West) that can be caught with a lure, although it is very hard to attract one with a lure, so bait is a better option. Royal Angelfish are easy to catch with any s-m size rod and reel with the exception of the 1 star rod and reel, however it isn't impossible by any means to catch one on the 1 star S tackle! Blueface Angelfish: FP 120- B Rank 0.98 ft- Can be caught at Teman Paradise Beach (West) and Pacar Beach (West). Blueface Angelfish have a dark blue face as their name suggests as well as a lighter blue body, and yellow fins and tail. These are a little tougher than most fish in the area they can be caught and can prove challenging with the 1 star S tackle if you hook one with the 1 star tackle be sure to let the fish tire out before you try to reel the fish in all the way. Oriental Butterflyfish: FP 75- B Rank 0.73 ft- Can be caught at Shop Waterhouse and Kayak Center Freedom. Oriental Butterflyfish have a thin broad body with a long nose, big eyes, and are yellow with white and black stripes on their face and the tip of their tail! They are very easy to spot in the water and also extremely easy to catch! Forceps Fish: FP 105- S Rank 0.79 ft- Can be caught at Teman Paradise Beach (West) and Pacar Beach (East). These fish have a similar color pattern as the Oriental Butterflyfish, however they are less broad, much longer, have a more defined dorcel fin, a longer nose, and white tail. These fish are a piece of cake to catch and are extremely common at Teman Paradise Beach (West). Pennant Coralfish: FP 85- A Rank 0.80 ft- Can be caught at Shop Waterhouse, Three Rock Formation, and Kayak Center Freedom. These fish have a white and black striped color patern and yellow tail, but the defining characteristic is their long white dorcel fin which is only seen in one other fish, but oddly enough they can both be found in the same area. These fish are a little more picky about their bait than some fish in the area, so you'll want to avoid the free bait or cheap bait if you are aiming to catch a Pennant Coralfish. Halibut: FP 340- B Rank 1.81 ft- Can be caught at Feest Cove, Kayaker's Shallow, and the Shop Waterhouse. Halibut look like Flounder as they have a dark grey body that is flat and their eyes are both on the top side of their bodies. Halibut can be caught using S-M sized spoons and crankbait, and they love the Regular Bait Blue. These fish are quite strong and can pose a decent challenge to land with the 2 star M tackle and are extremely difficult to catch with S tackle. Longnose Hawkfish: FP 105- A Rank 0.49 ft- Can be caught at Shop Waterhouse and Teman Paradise Beach (West). These white and pink fish are extremely small and are easy to identify with their long pink nose! These fish are easy to catch and are extremely common at the Three Rock Formation at Teman Paradise Beach! Horse Mackerel: FP 85- A Rank 0.79 ft- Can be caught at Big Catch Rock, Feest Cove, and Golden Cliff. Can occasionally be caught at Pacar Beach as well! Horse Mackerel have huge eyes and a big head and the top half of their body is grey with the bottom half being white. These fish are almost as common as the annoying grass puffers a Teman Paradise Beach, but they are a little stronger and can actually break the line on the 1 star S tackle if you're not careful. Grass Puffer: FP 75- C Rank 0.72 ft- Can be caught at Shop Waterhouse, Big Catch Rock, Temperate Ocean, and Villa Mirador. These fish have a white speckled green back with two unique white fins near their tail's and are quite thick. Another noteworthy aspect of these fish is how fast they "wag" their tail's when they are on your line! These are quite possibly the most common and annoying fish species you will be catching at Teman Paradise Beach. Grass Puffer's are almost as easy to catch as driftwood. Black Rockfish: FP 135- A Rank 1.20 ft- Can be caught at Big Catch Rock and Golden Cliff! Black Rockfish are greyish brown in color and have big eyes and sharp barbs on their dorcel fin. They are decent sized often over 1.00 ft in length and can provide a nice albeit short fight even with the 2 star M tackle! Japanese Lobster: FP 70- C Rank 0.67 ft- Can be caught at Big Catch Rock, Golden Cliff, and rarely in the deep waters of Pacar Beach! These crustacians are red with a white belly, have long claws, and two feelers near their mouthes and are easy to catch! They are quite rare at Pacar Beach, however. These little guys like Red Bait Regular. Freshwater Prawn: FP 100- D Rank 0.48 ft- Can be caught at Big Catch Rock, Golden Cliff, and occassionally Tidur River S. These crustacians are grey with a bunch of legs and long feeler legs in front, otherwise they look similar to Japanese Lobster only a little smaller. They are easy to catch with any s-m tackle set! Sea Robin: FP 180- C Rank 1.08 ft- Most commonly caught at Feest Cove, but can be a caught at Golden Cliff, Big Catch Rock, Temperate Ocean, and Pacar Beach (East) as well! These fish have a red face and blue eyes, green swimming fins, sharp barbels under their gills and a sharp cerated fin that is between their tail fin and dorcel fin! These fish fight hard for their size, but aren't too challenging with the 2 star M tackle. Sea Robin's can be caught using the Candy Crankbait set! Demon Stinger: FP 985!- A Rank 1.38 ft- Can be caught at Big Catch Rock and Golden Cliff. These brown fish look somewhat frightening with barbels on their lips, an ugly face, and painfully sharp looking dorcel fin! These fish are strong and will put up a tough fight, they are easily the strongest medium sized fish at Teman Paradise Beach! They can also be caught with various crankbait lures! Smallscale Blackfish: FP 1080!- D Rank 1.62 ft- Can be caught at Big Catch Rock. These black fish look a little like Bluegil in-terms of their shape, but have smaller dorcel fins and a large midnight black tail fin and of course you can't find Bluegill in the ocean, well at least in real life as I'll explain in the Bluegill fish info entry. These fish don't tire quickly so patience is key to catch these rare and extremely valuable fish. Smallscale Blackfish will sometimes go for a lure, but it's better to use bait to catch this species. Clownfish: FP 60- C Rank 0.50 ft- Can be caught at Kayak Center Freedom, Shop Waterhouse, Three Rock Formation, Teman Paradise Beach (West), and Teman Paradise Beach (East). These colorful fish have an orange head, yellow fins, and a black body with white vertical stripes. Clownfish are easy to catch regardless of tackle! Blue Tang: FP 115- B Rank 0.73 ft- Can be caught at Kayak Center Freedom, Kayaker's Shallow, Shop Waterhouse, Three Rock Formation, and Village Mirador. These fish a very blue, with a small boxxy yellow tail, and a black color pattern on the top half of its broad body! These fish are picky and will only go after yellow bait, quick hitter bait, wide-range bait, and rainbow bait, but these fish are relatively easy to catch even with the starting 1 star tackle! Moorish Idol: FP 90- C Rank 0.69 ft- Can be caught at Shop Waterhouse, Kayak Center Freedom, and Teman Paradise Beach. These fish have a long curved dorcel fin, and long black pectoral fins, a small white and black tail, and their most defining feature is their large lips! These fish like Blue Bait and are easy to catch! Ocellaris Clownfish: FP 675- S Rank 0.42 ft- Can be caught at Teman Paradise Beach (West), Three Rock Formation, and Teman Paradise Beach. These tiny orange fish with three vertical white bands are really hard to find as they don't spawn very often, however these fish are easy to catch and like a variety of baits. These are found most often at the Three Rock Formation. Section 3: Guide [guide3] Coming on 5/8/13! Section 4: Tips [tips4] In this section I'll post useful tips to help you out is you are experiencing any issues that you can't figure out! There will be many tips in the future so keep an eye out for them during future updates! Tip 1: If a fish keeps struggling when you have nearly caught it, don't be affraid to force it in, otherwise you'll likely end up in a neverending stalemate with the fish. Tip 2: Not all fish like the same bait equally! If you are having trouble attracting a fish that is an appropriate size for the tackle you're using it likely doesn't like the bait, there are two methods to solve this problem. The first is to use a bait it likes. The second is to use Rainbow Bait which all fish are attracted to! Tip 3: A Wii Motion Plus controller is recommended for lure fishing! This is due to the difficulty that you'll experience when trying to control your rod's movement with a standard Wii mote. Tip 4: If you see an animal such as a Manta Ray or Turtle during a submarine tour be sure to take a picture of it as it'll unlock content for your aquarium! Tip 5: Some fish species can be caught in areas not shown in the fish guide "in the game" so you may catch a fish you wouldn't expect to find in a given area! Tip 6: Coming Soon!
